Engineering Student Services Mission:

Engineering Student Services provides an inclusive, respectful, encouraging environment that fosters the retention and graduation of all undergraduate engineering students.  Through our Advising, Multicultural Engineering (MEP)International Exchange Program (IEP), and Tutoring Programs, our staff provides comprehensive services to guide and empower students to achieve their goals.

Engineering Student Services also includes a Graduate Student Intern. Our interns receive extensive training to be able to answer your questions and direct you to the appropriate resources and services. They focus on advising students, helping with the Multicultural Engineering Program (MEP), and Cal Poly Scholars.

Engineering Student Services also utilizes peer advising. Our peer advisors have received extensive training to be able to answer your questions and direct you to the appropriate resources and services.  Our peer advisors focus on advising students in their first year at Cal Poly.

Drop-in Advising

  • Use the table below as a guide for whether your questions would best be answered during a first-come, first-serve drop-in session versus a scheduled appointment session.

Scheduled Appointments

  • Please call (805) 756-1461 or stop by in person to schedule an appointment.
  • We recommend planning ahead when scheduling appointments as we can fill up quickly during peak times in the quarter.
  • For information on the International Exchange Program drop-in hours please refer here.

  • When emailing Engineering Student Services (eadvise@calpoly.edu), please email from your Cal Poly email account and include your name, major, EMPL ID and your question.
