| General Engineering Individualized Course of Study |
 |
An Individualized Course of Study form or a concentration form must
be filled out and approved by Dr. Walsh and the Advising Center Director.
This is the minimum criteria you must meet to gain approval:
Individualized Course of Study
The Individualized Course of Study is developed with a General Engineering advisor. For the 2001-03 through 2005-07 catalogs, 40 units are required (a minimum of 36 units must be upper-division). For the 2007-09 catalog, 46 units are required (a minimum of 35 units must be upper-division).
Bioengineering Concentration and Biomedical Concentration
The Bioengineering Concentration and Biomedical Concentration requirements
are outlined on the General Engineering curriculum sheet and in the Cal
Poly catalog. If substitutions are requested, the courses being substituted
must be with courses of equal level and difficulty.
Common Questions Regarding Possible Substitutions of Major/Support Courses
Depending on the student's situation and interest, it may be
possible to substitute ENGR 110, 111, 112, ME 302, 313, 341, IME 314, CHEM
125, and MATE 215 with other engineering coursework that is at the same
level. The engineering courses used for substitution must be chosen from
the major courses as they appear on the College of Engineering curriculum
sheets. For example, AERO 210, IME 130, ME 240, ENGR 141, and ENGR 301
would not be acceptable courses for substitution.
