| Electrical Engineering Cooperative Education Units |
| |
Cooperative Education units apply to free elective units only. The units cannot be used to substitute for degree requirements in the major, support, or general education. However, Electrical Engineering does allow up to 4 units of EE 400 credit based on an approved co-op experience to be used towards technical elective credit. Students must meet with the EE Co-op Advisor upon completion of their coop to discuss their coop experience. If the EE Co-op Advisor agrees the coop experience merits technical elective credit, the student will be directed to enroll in EE 400 for the unit value agreed upon.
To receive credit, students must list EE 400 on their technical elective form and attach a completed EE 400 special problems form (available in the Advising Center) approved by the EE Co-op Advisor (this is done once the co-op is completed and any outstanding requirements specified by the EE Co-op Advisor have been met).
Note: Students should meet with the EE Co-op Advisor prior to going on co-op to discuss the specific co-op requirements. Students should call the EE Department to idenitify the EE Co-op Advisor.
