Biomedical Engineering Cooperative Education Units
A coop experience may be used for technical elective credit via ENGR 400 (for up to four units). Students must meet with the BMED Department Chair upon completion of their coop to discuss their coop experience and turn in a technical paper for review. If the BMED Department Chair agrees the coop experience merits technical elective credit, the student will be directed to enroll in ENGR 400 for the unit value agreed upon (up to four units).
To receive credit, students must list ENGR 400 on their technical elective form and attach a Special Problems form (both forms are available in the Advising Center).
Note: Actual coop units apply to free elective units only so please do not list the coop course (for example, ENGR 494) on the technical elective form.
